Annual Appeal
Dear CFHS Friend,
As 2025 comes to a close, we would like to thank all our members and friends for their support. It’s been a year of changes and never-ending goals for “Keeping Chadds Ford History Alive!”. Our 2025 Spring Lecture Series “Historic Influences of Chadds Ford & Beyond” was very popular, as it helps us to offer education about local history to the community. We also hosted local school groups returning for our curriculum-based field trip program, which gave the students an 18th Century day of exploration and fun! Our fall fundraisers, the Battle at Chadds Ford and the Great Pumpkin Carve, had perfect weather with an improved Pumpkin Patch layout at the pumpkin carve for easier viewing of the pumpkins.
We also faced escalating challenges typical of small non-profits today. We cannot rely solely on our events and programs, but also need the generosity of the community to continue our mission “to preserve the properties, records, and artifacts; to interpret the history; to educate the public concerning the way of life in the Chadds Ford area with emphasis on the eighteenth century”.
We need your help to continue the legacy of our heritage, not just in Chadds Ford, but our entire community. Without the CFHS mission, we will lose the identity of what we hold dear – our own history. CFHS tells the stories of yesterday for the audience of tomorrow.
Please consider making a donation to our 2025 Annual Appeal campaign to keep CFHS standing strong into 2026. Your generosity is a major reason that we can continue to serve the community with great events and the preservation of our colonial history.
Best Regards,
Randell Spackman, Board President
